Kids Rock Cancer’s Advisory Council provides vital assistance with our efforts in the St. Louis community, helping to raise both awareness and support for Kids Rock Cancer.
Board member Jeremiah Dellas of Waddell & Reed shared his reasons for volunteering with Kids Rock Cancer.
My wife, Marjorie, and I organized a music therapy-focused nonprofit in 2008 and had engaged Maryville University’s Dr. Cynthia Briggs for thought leadership. Upon learning of our efforts, Maryville inquired if we might partner with them to help launch Kids Rock Cancer.
We were so excited to work with Maryville and the other early KRC supporters.
Why are you passionate about Kids Rock Cancer?
Both Marjorie and I have people very close to us who underwent childhood cancer treatment here in St. Louis. As such, it was a very easy decision to focus our attention on music therapy through Kids Rock Cancer. Our passion has not waned — nearly 10 years later, we remain steadfast supporters of the program and its mission.
